Kainuu Orienteering Week

The oldest Finnish Orienteering Week promises unique experiences in the varied terrain, rich culture and pristine natural environment in the Kainuu area.

Kainuu Orienteering Week Finland is an annual, international orienteering event that has been held  since 1966. Steeped in Finnish tradition Kainuu Orienteering Week is the second- oldest orienteering week in the world

The event is arranged in a different location in Kainuu each year. The terrain in Kainuu features numerous hills, clean waterways and spectacular forests. There is a wide variety of orienteering terrain types in Kainuu.

The event attracts participants of all skill levels, from absolute beginners to top performers. There is a series for everyone interested, from children under the school age to 95-year-olds.

Kainuu Orienteering Week is known as a holiday and orienteering week for the whole family. There are a total of four race days and two rest-days to recover in between, enjoying Kainuu.
